Heavy fighting took place in the early hours of this morning in the area of Beerhani, on the western side of the city of Beledweyne in the capital of Hiraan region.
The battle between the government forces and Al-Shabaab came after members of the Al-Shabaab organization attacked the area where the Federal Government of Somalia has a base.
The army officers in Beerhana area said that they defended themselves from the attack of Al-Shabaab, and that there is a loss as a result of the war that the parties have suffered, although it cannot be officially confirmed.
There are operations against Al-Shabaab in Hiran region, which are in cooperation with the Federal Government forces and the local ones.
